Job Summary:
To provide guidance and instruction to foster emotional, physical and mental growth of clients through therapeutic group facilitation and individual TBS/CPST services, intervention and positive role modeling. In this role the TBS/CPST specialist also provides Therapeutic Behavioral Services to clients, their families, and/or significant others as needed. They will provide services to clients in a community settings and works to provide support – including education and consultation – for parents and/or caregivers, case coordination, and symptom management and monitoring. The TBS/CPST Specialist is expected to meet the program’s productivity target for billable service each quarter.

Essential Duties:

  • Planning and facilitating ASP groups in collaboration with licensed group facilitators on various topics in accordance with the client treatment plans,
  • Participating in the development of clients’ ASP group treatment goals,
  • Assistance with monitoring, evaluating and documenting client response to treatment,
  • Assistance with care and maintenance of the group space,
  • Assist in client transportation and other group activities in accordance with established guidelines. 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology or related field, and prior experience in the delivery of mental health services to children in groups with complex needs is essential.  
  • Candidate must be compassionate, empathetic, gender affirming, and have strong verbal de-escalation skills.
  • Openness to supervision and trainings around trauma informed care and the appropriate manner in which to work with youth with trauma and behavioral concerns.
  • Ability to maintain a clinical schedule; report to shift on time, complete daily tasks in a timely manner, and have the ability to be flexible during school breaks.
  • Have a valid OH driver’s license with no more than 6 points as well as a valid auto insurance required.
